Spread over 3650km’s (2268 miles), Argentina is the essence of wild and dramatic topography. From the quaint frontier gateway to Antarctica – Ushuaia, through the Patagonian wilderness, Mount Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the western hemisphere) right up to Iguazu Falls, this is a land that will captivate you and fulfil that yearning for adventure in distant lands.

Patagonia’s Los Glaciares National Park is easily explored from El Chalten and El Calafate for those into hiking, climbing and exploring the incredible glacier network across the Andes. A particular highlight is the first glimpse of the immense Southern Patagonian Icefield – the world’s second largest contiguous extrapolar ice field.

There are the vast grassy plains of the Pampas with roaming herds of Guanaco, lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and iconic canyons with thundering waterfalls – think Iguazu Falls. It’s hard to imagine a place with a wider variety of spectacular landscapes. There is also an incredible energy to Argentina’s culture, cuisine and architecture spread across a wide range of cosmopolitan cities and towns.

In contrast to the urban chic, there are forests and alpine lakes, stunning beaches and coastline, and amazing opportunities to view southern right whales, orcas, elephant seals and sea lions on the Península Valdés. Argentina is a destination that’s very hard to top.
