According to Andean belief, Lake Titicaca is the birthplace of the sun. As you look out across the azure waters of South America’s largest lake it’s hard not to get captivated by the mystique. There is also one of the earth’s greatest mysteries in Peru – the Nazca Lines, which consist of more than 70 ancient hieroglyphs of animals and other shapes that are so big they can only be seen from the air.

Peru offers a wonderland of adventure. For many this is epitomized by the ancient Incan pilgrimage trek to Machu Picchu as it carves its way through to this world-renowned wonder. There are hundreds of mountains to climb along the Peruvian Andes, untamed desert coast lapped by beautiful waves to surf, and then there’s the Amazon – a vast mass of wetlands and rainforest brimming with biodiversity and riotous rainforest wilderness not seen anywhere else.
